Behold He comes quickly – Jeremiah 7-8

Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.” “Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit.
  and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’?
I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer. Do you not see what they do in the cities and in the streets? jer 7-17

  Do they provoke Me to anger?” says the Lord. “Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces?” Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out on this place—on man and on beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground. And it will burn and not be quenched.”

Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’  Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward
        ‘This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God nor receive correction. Truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.

“They have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to pollute it.   Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family. Jer 7:19-8:3

‘Thus says the Lord:

Why has this people slidden back, in a perpetual backsliding?
They hold fast to deceit,They refuse to return.
I listened and heard, But they do not speak aright.
No man repented of his wickedness,
Saying, ‘What have I done?’
Everyone turned to his own course,
As the horse rushes into the battle.

“Even the stork in the heavens
Knows her appointed times;
And the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow
Observe the time of their coming.
But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord.

“How can you say, ‘We are wise,
And the law of the Lord is with us’?
Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.
The wise men are ashamed,
They are dismayed and taken.
Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord;
So what wisdom do they have?

                                            Everyone is given to covetousness;
                                               From the prophet even to the priest
                                                         Everyone deals falsely.

Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’
When there is no peace.
12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?
No! They were not at all ashamed,
Nor did they know how to blush.
Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;
In the time of their punishment
They shall be cast down,” says the Lord.
“I will surely consume them,” says the Lord.

               My heart is overwhelmed and saddened with the amount of false teaching that is rampant everywhere.  The only way to know right and wrong teaching is to stay in the Word of God. Don’t be led astray- don’t believe every word you hear. This is a warning – many think they are saved and think they are in good standing with the Lord because of the false words of many teachers.

  We must teach every man, in all wisdom and warn every man- for now is the time- that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

          They hold fast to deceit,They refuse to return.
 I listened and heard, But they do not speak aright.
No man repented of his wickedness,
Saying, ‘What have I done?’
Everyone turned to his own course

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Col 2;8

   Is there oil in your lamp? Are you on the narrow path? Have you crucified your old life and accepted your new life in Christ? Have you checked your heart? Have you repented?  Have you been deceived to believe that a lukewarm existence will gain you entrance to God’s Holy Place?

             Today is the day to commit to your Salvation in Jesus Christ, step out of the World and it’s evil ways. For behold – The Lord comes quickly.

          Grace and Peace of the Lord God and His Son Jesus Christ be with you all.

Amen sister. I, too, am amazed that people are more concerned with obeying their churches doctrine than they are in studying the word of God, thus risking their eternal salvation..

      HI DThrasher- Thanks for stopping by and commenting – I think your post said it well too. I agree- it’s crazy when you think about it- that someone would put the rules of a church over the very words of God. It reminds me of what we read in Isaiah and Jeremiah- some just don’t want to listen and and the verse in Isaiah 29:
      Therefore the Lord said, Since this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men … and Jer 2:27
      They have turned their backs to me and not their faces; yet when they are in trouble, they say, ‘Come and save us!’
      but here’s a promise we can trust and teach others:
      “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
      Thanks again, and many, many blessing to you as you continue to share God’s Word with others.

  2. I am angered at so many Christian leaders who are leading their people astray. I blame them that too many of the churches lack spiritual power. I also pity them, as they will be judged harsher than the person who is not a leader. May our God have mercy on them and help them see the error of their ways. Lord, have mercy on me too, for where I am wrong. I pray for all my Christian brothers and sisters – that we would hold fast to the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we would become a spiritual people. In Jesus name, amen.

      Hi Claire,
      Amen to that- keep praying for others and hold fast to the truth- that’s something
      I need to continue in- making sure my mind is set on His truth.
      Thanks for your comment 🙂 and May the Lord continue to bless you as you walk with Him.

  3. Your words always strike me like a modern day prophet. I so longed to be that. I think I am, but not quite like I thought it would present itself. When I was speaking out openly in the church body, that was seven years ago, in another church. I was learning how to present what God was giving me. Sadly there is a learning curve as you disseminate between the you aspect, that always gets involved, and the voice of spirit that is willing to use this broken human vessel that is subject to errors. Anyway, I got too loud one day and was soon asked to never do that again.
    The church I go to now cries out for revival but they will escort you out if you try to address the body in an open manner. Now do they really want what the Lord has? No. And yes, that too breaks my heart.
    I have been feeling like I needed to contact you, as I have not for a couple of months. Your words are good, hitting the mark and carry much weight. I feel as though I have to study them out and chew on them. That is a good thing but I am a slow chewer.
    Love ya sis
    Glad to see you putting out what the Lord lays upon you. You are a watchman upon the wall. Continue to sound the alarm, and I will do the same.

      Hi Oz,
      Good to hear from you. I never considered myself a prophet, but thank you for your kind words. Sometimes a message just burns within me and it is not of my own doing or my own wisdom. Certainly no one wants to hear the words the Lord sends out as warnings today. Being asked to be silent or leave a church, should remind us of how the prophets of old suffered and how they endured. No prophet is accepted, and as I read through Jeremiah I, and I’m sure you as well, can understand how he felt. Jesus tells us to rejoice in persecution, so that is what we do :). I’m also finding lately, much division in the family of the Lord- brother against brother- and some teaching falsely- using scripture wrongly against each other. How sad. The Lord has shown me to pray so that I can understand them in love and compassion- which is new to me, but keeping me steady with a humble heart.
      I hear people everywhere proclaiming peace! goodness! all is well! blessings upon us!..yet when the Lord
      spoke to me, I heard very clearly that He is about to pour out His Wrath. When? Where? I don’t know, but it
      silences me in fear. I’ve been enjoying your posts on revelation- lots’ to chew on there too- but it’s really good and I always finish reading them all. Your recent one, I’ve only started, but haven’t finished (just getting back from vacation).
      Thanks, Have a wonderful week and May the Lord continue to be with you as you speak out in truth, bringing many to Salvation in Jesus Christ. 🙂
      Many blessings,
