A Prayer of faith in difficult times – Save me O God, for my hope is in You alone

Comment 1 Standard

Heart

Save me O God,  and answer my prayer, for my hope is in you alone. You are merciful and full of unfailing love, hear my prayer and rescue me. Keep me from falling off the path of righteousness and into deep waters. Rescue me O God and don’t let the worries of life overwhelm me like mighty waves.

Lord, you always take care of me, your mercy is abundant and your love is indescribable. Please answer me quickly as I cry out to you – Lord, I am overwhelmed, confusion tries to stop me, I stand at crossroads and ask for your leading. I don’t know the road to take, I wait for you to show me. Lord, show me the right path.

I know the Lord rescues me, His power is great. He hears my prayers and considers my ways. Morning, noon and night I cry out to you O Lord. Hear my voice, I give my burdens to you and you take care of me. You will not allow me to slip and fall. How my heart rejoices in you. I trust in you to save me, I trust in you to lead me.

I praise you Lord for your promises, I think about them night and day. I trust in you, why should I fear the future?

You keep track of all my sorrows, you collect my tears in your bottle, you have recorded each one in your book. My enemies retreat when I call on you for help, for You God are on my side.

The Lord will send help from heaven to rescue me, He sends forth unfailing love and faithfulness. Even though troubles surround me and my enemies try to fill me with discouragement and lies, I will not fear neither will I tremble. I will arm myself with the peace and righteousness that comes from God above, holding on to the truth and hope of my salvation in Christ Jesus. I lift up my sword, which is the word of God, I will claim in Christ Jesus that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against me shall be put to shame for this is the heritage of the saints of the Lord.

My heart is confident, my heart is confident in you O lord. No wonder I can sing your praises. For in your unfailing love, You, O God stand with me.  You will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies. You are a mighty warrior, you rule the nations.

I wait for you, show me the way, answer my prayer. I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost waiting on you. There I will wait for your direction, I will wait to see what the Lord says,

In the name of Jesus my Savior,

Amen

  1. WAS NOAH SAVED BY FAITH ALONE? BY STEVE FINNELL

Those who claim they were saved by “faith alone” like to quote Hebrews 11:7 to prove they were by “faith only,” just like Noah.

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of righteousness which is according to faith.(NKJV)

Hebrews 11:7By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.(NASB)

Noah was not saved the minute he had faith, he was saved and became an heir of righteousness after faith plus preparing the ark.

Noah was saved by faith plus obedience, not by faith alone.
He was obedient by preparing the ark for saving his household. If Noah had tried being saved by “faith alone” he would have drown just like the rest of the world.

1 Peter 3:20…..God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.(NKJV)

Noah was not saved on dry land by “faith alone.” He was saved by faith plus obedience.

Without faith Noah and his household would not have been saved.

Without Noah building the ark, Noah and his household would not have been saved.

Faith plus obedience saved Noah and his household.

Faith only advocates claim they are saved by “faith only.” They reject being immersed in water in order to be saved.

Jesus said faith plus obedience saves. Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved….(NKJV)

Noah was not saved until he built the ark and men today are not saved until they are immersed in water.

Noah would have drown without the ark

Men today will drown in their sins without being baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38. Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21, John 3:5, Romans 6:3-7, Ephesians 5:25-27, Colossians 2:12-13 and Galatians 3:27.
