Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength Isaiah 41:10 Hebrew meaning

When I am weak, He is Strong,
When I am downcast, He is my Hope
When I stumble, He lifts me up
When I fall, He is Mighty to Save
When I cling to Him,  He Strengthens me

 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

          The word wait in this verse is actually the Hebrew word Quvah. Quvah means to bind together of strings made on a cord or bound primitive root, to bind together by twisting.  The verse still is correct in using the word wait, but the Lord explained this verse further to me in a dream I am sharing here. It probably didn’t make sense to say those who cord or bind with strings on the Lord shall renew their strength, but I can explain it further.

I suddenly understood this verse after the dream I had- and when I read the hebrew meaning that replaced the word wait- quvah- I jumped for joy! I got it! It’s like finding ancient buried treasure. I hope you find joy in this revelation as well 🙂

Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Is 41

Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!
Ps 27:14

        I had a dream…….

            I was standing on the sand before a great ocean. As I looked out onto the waters, I could see stepping-stones on top of all the waters. I knew that I was to walk a straight path on these steps across the waters. Although there were other stepping-stones around me to the right and left, I knew the straight path before me was the best way to go and the way I was supposed to go. Above my right hand was bound cord or rope that was my help. It was always there for me to help strengthen me as I walked through my storms and trials.

stepping stones on ocean with my path prepared. Deeper and darker watersI began to walk upon the stones that were on the water.  Upon each stone were words or writing in another language that I did not understand. I knew each stone represented a trial, test, or tribulation, but I did not know the language written upon the stone. (it was written in black and looked Arabic or Hebrew)

the deeper I got, the darker and more rought and choppy the waters became.

As I started out along the shallow waters, my walk was easy. I stepped upon each stone and kept on and on as I walked further out to sea. I knew above me was a cord/rope/ bound string that came from heaven. At the end of this cord/ rope was a round attachment so that I could hold on to it in order to receive my help and strength . This rope/ help was always next to me, always close enough for me to grab on to. It seemed to follow me as I walked upon the waters.

Sometimes I held on to this help I had available, but other times I just wanted to walk on my own strength. The further I walked out to see, the more intense and trying the trials and tests became. When I continued to walk on my own strength, I could not move. I stood and struggled and struggled to get further, to get to the next stone, but it was like wrestling a wall. When I reached up and held on to my Help from Heaven, I walked as if there were no trial. I could easily walk in peace through each storm and test as if there were none. But still, I would let go at times and try to walk on my own and in my own strength. There in the middle of the ocean I stood with dark skies and raging waves fighting me. I said to God: “Why can’t I just walk on the water without these trials? It would be so much easier if I could just walk on water” with that, I lifted my arm, grabbed on to the help the Lord gave me and kept walking easily again.
The stones were a a light beigh, round, smooth and covered the waters, the stones got further and further apart as I went further.
I had walked very far out into the sea. I could not longer see land and the waters were getting dark and the waves were getting ferocious and terrifying.  The trials and tests that I walked upon became stronger and too big for me. I tried to fight them on my own, but I realized that when I tried to get through these trials on my own, I sat there longer. I couldn’t move further. I would fight and wrestle to get to my next stepping stone, but my strength was no match, and my strength was for nothing. I had to keep reminding myself to reach up and take the help that was there for me.

When I would reach up and grab my help from heaven, I was reneewed and strengthened and could easily walk forward over m,y troubles as if it were nothing. I knew I had to keep going- for there was land ahead- even though I was in the middle of the ocean and had a long way to go. There was always hope ahead, there was alway help by my side. I wouldn’t be there forever.

      I realized that is the way it is here on earth. We wrestle and struggle with our problems, our trials, our tribulations- to no avail. It is worthless to struggle on our own. We are weak without the Lord. Reach out and grab your help from above. It’s right there for you. Put on your weapons of warfare, they are before you. Fall on your knees before Him, He waits for you.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. Isaiah 43

Wait on the Lord, And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land…
But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
 And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him. Ps 37

  Is the word Quvah a symbol of our help? I wonder if it is part of the vine that flows out of our heart that I mentioned in a previous post? I know that is how we are connected in the Spirit to the Lord- through the living water that flows from our hearts- so I wonder……. In order to receive this help to soar like an Eagle- we just need faith, trust and Hope.
It all seems so simple- yet our religions make it seem so difficult. Trust in Him, Wait on Him, Call out to Him, Cling to Him and He will carry you through.

 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Phil 4” 13

He will strengthen you

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5 :8-11

       But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.  And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen! 2 Tim 4

 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,  that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph 3 :14-21

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:10

Wisdom strengthens the wise More than ten rulers of the city.
Eccl 7:9

 How did Abraham Strengthen himself?
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness” Romans 4

 It is our responsibility to strengthen the weak: ” The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.” You must shepherd your flock.

 In 2 Samuel 22, David wrote:
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.
 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
 When the waves of death surrounded me,
The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
 In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.
He sent from above, He took me,
He drew me out of many waters.
 He delivered me from my strong enemy,
From those who hated me;
For they were too strong for me.
 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my support.
 He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.
“The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness;
According to the cleanness of my hands
He has recompensed me.
 For I have kept the ways of the Lord,
And have not wickedly departed from my God.
 For all His judgments were before me;
And as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.

Wait on the Lord    Cling to Him- He will strengthen you
Psalm 63:8 TNIV  I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
Deuteronomy 10:20 NLT You must fear the Lord your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone.
Deuteronomy 13:4 NLT Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.
Joshua 23:8 NLT Rather, cling tightly to the Lord your God as you have done until now.
Psalm 63:8 NLT I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.
Psalm 119:31 NLT I cling to your laws. Lord, don’t let me be put to shame!

But those who (cling to the Lord)wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 41 30

Qavah to wait, to cling to:  learn how to wait on the Lord. Hebrew word “קוה” (qavah).  The literal meaning of the word is “to bind together like a cord.”making a rope (cord) by twisting or weaving (binding) thin threads together to form the rope.

May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Keep His ways. Be of good Courage, and He shall strengthen your heart -All you who hope in the Lord.  Be Strong and Very Courageous!
Shalom!

Disobedience to God. “my ways are higher than your ways” says the Lord Isaiah 55: 8 – 9

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.  Isaiah 55:8-9

      God’s thoughts are above mine and His reasoning is above mine. The Lord has taught me a big lesson this week. As I think of it, I stand trembling before Him. He has given me instructions and at times, I’ve altered them according to my own ways, thoughts and understanding. I meant good, but what I should have done was to seek God’s guidance. I didn’t even notice my wrong until I was reading through Numbers this week and suddenly this was revealed to me.

Blessed is he whose sins are forgiven
I acknowledged my sin to you
I will confess my sins to the Lord
and you forgave me the iniquity of my sin Ps 32

Moses Punishment: He was not allowed to go into the Promised land- that’s a huge punishment! He spent the last 40 years trying to get there- and he never did. Why? Because of disobedience.

Pay close attention- so you understand what he did wrong.
The Lord’s instructions to Moses: (when the people were crying out for water) Numbers 20
1-Take the rod
2-Gather the Children of Israel
3-Speak to the Rock

So Moses did the following:
1-took the rod
2-Gathered the Children of Israel
3-He spoke to the people (he was not told to do this)
4-Struck the rock 2x  (he was not told to do this)

He did three things wrong. He did not speak to the Rock.  He struck the rock 2x. Isn’t that interesting. I wonder if in anyway this is symbolic of Christ?  Instead of speaking to the rock to give them water, he struck it. Jesus is our rock, our source of living water and He was struck.
I’m sure at the time, Moses thought he was obeying- but he added on things of his own understanding and with that we know there was a lack of trust/faith there that was a sin before God.

God said to him in vs 23: because you did not believe in me- to hallow me before the people

Walk in God’s ways not our own ways

” When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.[f] 14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.  For,
“Who can know the LORD’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to teach him?
But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ

If we are going to walk with the Lord, we need to make sure we are not walking in our own understanding or our own knowledge. We need to seek the Lord’s counsel in all things and obey with complete obedience and faith. We obey, we trust. We cannot make the water come out of the rock- we have to trust Him-the Lord. This is similar to stepping out praying for healing for others. We just need to step out in faith knowing we, on our own, cannot do the healing, but our Healer can. We obey- we pray for the sick as Jesus commanded us to (do the works He did) and we have to trust Him that He is there and He heals.

Little sin of Balaam? No, not so little-  punishment of sin is death
In Numbers 24 evil King Balaak wanted Balaam (sorcerer- prophet) to curse the Israelites . The king called for Balaam but Balaam would not go to see him. So Balam went to the Lord to ask Him if he should go to the King.
the Lord said:
You may go only if they ask you again –
The bible says, the next day Balaam got up and went.
Did you notice what Balaam did wrong? He went even though they didn’t ask him to go. Again we see human reasoning. This is probably what ran through Balaam’s mind:  “Well, if God said, I could go, I can go, and they didn’t ask me, but they asked me before, and God didn’t specify exactly what time they were to ask me, therefore I’ll go, and I’m not sinning, because I’m obeying- just with a twist”
Big Punishment: The angel of the Lord tried to kill him 3x while he was on his donkey on the way to see King Balaak. (Balaam needs more study- but just the point here- that he obeyed partially and made up his own way and the Lord counted that as a sin- that deserved death)

Little sin of complaining people against Moses? not so little-they were swallowed up by the earth
 ” So what?” we might think, the people complained against Moses and Aaron. We are so conditioned to hearing complaints about leaders we might think nothing of this sin- but read in Numbers 16 what happened to the families of those who rose up Moses. Their children, wives, family and tents were swallowed up by the earth! The people around them ran screaming for their lives as they heard the screams of those who went down into the earth alive. Was it pride? God wants us to learn from these stories and put within us the first step in walking with Him – this is the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

Complaining was punishable by death (is your complaining really lack of faith?) Killed 14,700 people
The very next day! After the people saw the complainers getting eaten up in the earth the people complained against Moses again. What happened? A plague killed 14,700 people. Complaining is not trusting. It is so engrained in us, our conversations- do we even notice it?  When I think back of times when I complained- I have to wonder if it all stems from lack of faith in God. Do I really believe His Word? Do I really see Him as a Father. That is one thing I noticed when I studied David and Abraham. Even though they sinned, they both had complete faith and trust in God as their Father. They believed God as a child believes in His father. If you read through the Psalms David wrote, you will understand his relationship with the Lord. No matter what He faced- he always praised God for saving him, even when he wasn’t even yet saved.

“What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,”
says the LORD.
You make plans that are contrary to mine.
You make alliances not directed by my Spirit,
thus piling up your sins.
2 For without consulting me,
you have gone down to Egypt for help.
You have put your trust in Pharaoh’s protection Isaiah 30:1-2

More Complaining punishable by fiery serpents sent to bite and kill
This happened right after the people had defeated the Canannites.  They had no food, no water and complained about the same old boring bread they were eating. Didn’t they know? Didn’t they remember? Didn’t they know God had never let them down? It’s easy for us to condemn them, but how many times have we feared the worst- when we know that God never abandons us? Don’t complain- go to the throne. This story can be found in Numbers 21. The people were finally spared when they looked at the pole with the serpent on it. That’s another story- Jesus quoted from this in the New Testament.

Little sin of Uzzah- he only touched the ark so it wouldn’t fall! We might think it was a little sin- but it was not before God- punishable by death
That’s too bad, because he was told not to touch it! 6 But when they arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon, the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah reached out his hand and steadied the Ark of God.  Then the LORD’s anger was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him dead because of this.[d] So Uzzah died right there beside the Ark of God.2 Samuel 6:7 . The things we may think are little or unimportant- are not. We need  to be very careful as we walk with the Lord- especially leaders and teachers. We must know that only God is all knowing and that we are nothing without Christ in us and His leading in us. We are not empowered by our knowledge, our reasoning, our high positions or fame. It is only through God’s spirit that you lead, it is not in ourselves.

Even if we mean well and mean good -we need to make sure our actions and our words are not sin against the Lord our God.
O Lord, create in us a new heart and renew a right spirit within us. Thank you Lord God for saving us through your son Jesus Christ. Surely I deserve death, but Praise you Lord God for your Mercy and Love for us. Teach us to walk along the ancient paths of your prophets. To hear your voice, O God. Remind us to seek your counsel in all we do. Give us the faith of Abraham, to walk with you like Enoch, to live in obedience like Noah and to love others as you have loved us.  In Jesus’ precious name, Amen

What is a Spiritual Stonghold?

A few years ago, the Lord showed me a vivid vision as I was awake in the early morning. He showed me our hearts, the spiritual battles we face, much scripture was explained and here I want to share with  you what the Lord showed me was a stronghold.

A spiritual stronghold is a pair of demonic hands on a certain part of people’s life that flows out from your heart. Remember King Solomon wrote:

Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.

    These words are true, and oh how I wish everyone could understand the depth of this. What we put in our hearts flows out in four ways- very similar to the physical heart we have within us. The junk or the good we see, hear, do, go …goes straight into our heart. It is like a well within us- it can be flowing with the waters of life through Jesus or we can unknowingly be polluting it with the tv shows, music, words, books we allow to get dumped in.

    There are different outflows to our spiritual heart and each one specifically flows to a certain part of each person’s life. On top of the outflow I could see the name written on it.- Each of the outflows of the heart were for a different part of the person’s life. For instance, one was home and family, another was “looking for God” another was “happiness”, another was work, another “different paths” and “ventures”

What you put in to your heart can allow the devil to try to control your life- this is the pair of demonic hands that tries to cut you off- ultimately destroying your life. These rivers- for lack of a better word to describe-that flow from your heart actually connect you to the Lord- as if on a vine. The devils grip tries to cut you off. The main goal of a demonic stronghold is to cut off your connector to the Lord- it would be like you tying a tight rubber band on a branch of a vine. It would eventually fall off and die. Well that is what happens here.

To understand the working of our enemy here- is to describe it as breaking a branch from a vine off- or cutting off it’s source- to kill the vine so the life is no longer in it.

I saw the Lord holding on to His people- some even by a small strand that was left with the strongholds breaking them off.  The Lord loves His people so much- as if you were his only son. He has His arms outstretched to you and guards you – but you must, you must, you must Guard and Protect your heart- it’s the wellspring within you- and if you do not protect it and live the way you want to- instead of by the Lord’s way- you will deeply regret the choices you made in your life.

Listen to the words Jesus said:

 John 15:1I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

He is the vine- Jesus is explaining what it is like in the spiritual world. This is how we are connected to Jesus- that is how Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our Father God are always with us.

“Wake up, sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

       In the case I saw, it was a man who had alcohol and gambling addiction. The man had no idea he was being controlled by the demons who had a stronghold on him. He thought to himself “I can beat this, I can overcome this on my own” and the devils laughed and laughed because they knew it would be impossible.  This man had at one time been wiped clean and freed from his addictions, but returned to his ways. I finally understood what Jesus said when he said the demons come back and find the place (heart) wiped clean and bring even more back. I could see so many demons there waiting to grab him and break him off, waiting for him to break free-only so the next one in line could put there hands on it next. Behind this man and the demonic stronghold…I could see the man fight and break free and then another demon would grab hold and so it went on and on..the man never freeing himself.  Only the blood of Jesus can free us, we in ourselves are powerless to the demonic forces that try to kill us, destroy us, and cut us off from our Heavenly Father. On top of each of the hands I saw the word “stronghold” written. I also so a demonic chokehold around the neck that would choke out the word of God. Everytime this person would go to church or try to hear God’s word the demonic chokehold would grab him around the neck so the Word of God could not go into the heart.

Proof:

“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’  When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.  Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.” Luke 11:24-26

“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.  Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12”43-45

YOU CAN HAVE THIS LIVING WATER FLOWING THROUGH YOU– you need it for your salvation. Call out to your Savior- the spring of Living Water. It is a gift for you. Ask for it. Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Jeremiah 2:13 “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
(can your heart hold this living water or is your heart polluted?
Jeremiah 17:13 LORD, you are the hope of Israel; all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.
John 4:10  Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ ”

Don’t be deceived! Be set free in Jesus name! you very soul is at stake. If you could only see the workings of the enemy- stand strong soldier Put on your warfare! And for goodness sake- Above all- GUARD YOUR HEARTS

          Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Demonic Stronghold on a vine of heart

I’m not an artist, but this is part of what I saw- one entrance and 4 outflows throught the heart and on this specific heart I saw one set of demonic hands trying to strangle or cut off the outflow of the heart and behind it were legions ready to jump in just in case the person was freed.

Come! Revelation 22

If anyone has an ear, let him hear

“Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion

And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely

The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
