Florida state rep. says high school world history textbook is a big Islam lovefest

(my comment and how to take action listed below) Source: by Eric Owens at dailycaller.com  A Florida school board is reviewing a state-approved world history textbook used in an Advanced Placement class over claims that the book covers Islam in loving, rah-rah detail while giving short shrift to Christianity and Judaism. The textbook – called simply World History – is published under Pearson’s Prentice Hall imprint and is currently in use in an A.P. class in Brevard County schools—and in school districts across the country.It contains a 36-page chapter fondly devoted to “Muslim Civilizations,” reports FOX News. Sections include discussions of the rise of Islam and the growth of the Muslim empire. Take a wild guess about the nu.mber of chapters the book dedicates to Christianity or Judaism. That’s right: zero. “It’s remarkably one-sided,” said Ritch Workman, a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives who raised the ruckus that started the review process.Though Brevard County has used the book for the last three years with no complaints, Workman is complaining now. His argument, in a nutshell, is that the book’s authors prop up Islam yet denigrate the other two major Abrahamic faiths. For instance, the state lawmaker says, the textbook informs high schoolers that “people happily accepted Islam as their way of life” in Medina. “It leaves out that tens of thousands of Jews and non-believers were massacred by Mohammed’s armies,” Workman said. “Kids are going to take this book as gospel and believe that Christians and Jews were murderous barbarians and thank God the Muslims came along and the world is great.” The textbook describes the Koran and the Five Pillars of Islam. It also suggests that Jesus Christ called himself the Messiah yet declares matter-of-factly that Mohammed was a prophet—a semantic distinction that Workman says galls him to no end. The Republican representative also alleges that a Muslim cleric wrote the chapter entitled “Muslim Civilizations.”“The publisher told me,” he told FOX News. Two school board members, Amy Kneessy and Andy Ziegler, pledged to review the textbook, reports First Coast News. “No matter what the subject is, whether it’s math, English, science or world history, students need to have accurate, unbiased information,” Kneessy told FirstCoast. “If textbooks are unbiased or incomplete, it’s our job to fix that.” Susan Aspey, a spokeswoman for Pearson, the publisher, defended the textbook in email. “A review of the book shows there is balanced attention given to the beliefs of Islam, Judaism and Christianity,” she wrote. FirstCoast also interviewed a history teacher from Eau Gallie High in Workman’s district. She had her own take on the textbook . “There was more discussion of the Muslim aspects, but I attributed it to it being more focused on the world and other cultures than our own,” said the second-year teacher , Robin Miller. Wilfredo Ruiz, an attorney for Florida Council on American-Islamic Relations, took a much more conspiratorial view. My comment: Parents! Teach your children that Allah, god of Islam, is NOT THE GOD OF THE JEWS! NOR IS HE THE GOD OF THE CHRISTIANS! The state of Florida is brainwashing your children and setting the scene for the next holocaust. Florida’s History book dedicates an entire chapter to Islam, claims Mohammed is God’s messenger, that they are a religion of peace, paints a peaceful people – without telling the facts- they hate the Jews! It was so convincing and beautifully worded, it would fool any student into believing their beautifully worded chapter. Muslims are awaiting their Mahdi to arrive to kill off every last Jew – and christian- EXPLAIN HOW THAT IS THE GOD OF ABRAHAM! They plan to fly their flag over our country and rule by Sharia law- this is more than a religion- they rule with a demonic fist, all the time looking so pious and holy. The book is teaching millions of students that the islamic Allah is the God of Christians and Jews. This is from the Quran: Allah deceives  and the book teaches that Allah intentionally deceived the Christians, Allah approves of lying to spread Islam-My God does not lie, My God does not deceive, My God wants all to come to Him, but Allah wishes to see the wicked burn in hell, My God wants them to turn from wickedness and run back to Him, My God wants no man to perish so He sent His only beloved Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.             Florida Students MUST KNOW THE 5 PILLARS OF ISLAM! Are you kidding me! Could you image the uproar if we had the students study the 10 commandments. Does the history book mention Christians? Yes- only their slaughter during the crusades, Christians are painted as a cruel religion. Islam is taught throughout the book, they are mentioned 20-30x outside the chapter devoted to them. Jesus got one paragraph on pg 19 and on pg 247 where Christians are painted as those who kill Jews. This is ridiculous brainwashing! and I quote :

“Muslims, Jews, and Christians worship the same God. The Quran teaches that Islam is God’s final and complete revelation, while Hebrew and the Christian bible portray earlier revelations. Muslims consider Jews and Christians  to be “people of the book” …”but don’t have the same rights as muslims”

and:

 ” Islam extended rights and protection to woman by affirming the spirituality of all muslims” really? let’s check the news: Muslim beats sister in law to death Qur’an (4:11) –  “The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females”  Muslim (4:1039) – “A’isha said [to Muhammad]: ‘You have made us equal to the dogs and the asses’“  These are the words of Muhammad’s favorite wife, complaining of the role assigned to women under Islam.
