Where did Jesus go when He died? Christos Anesti! Alethos Anesti! Christ is Risen! Indeed He has!
Where did Jesus go when He died? I decided to gather some scripture to answer this question. (I’m sure I’ll find more soon) Read and look over the verses. Scripture in no way contradicts itself. The Word of God is all truth, living and powerful. Below the verses, I have put together what I imagine happened on the day our Great God and Savior died for us.
This video below was one of my favorite songs in church. I couldn’t wait to hear it each Easter. I wanted to run up and down the pews of church singing and dancing this as I stood motionless with my class- but inside I was praising my King. I think you’ll understand the excitement of the children as they sing “The King of Glory comes a nation rejoices! Open the Gates Before Him lift up your voices! Who is this King of Glory has shall I call Him? He is Emmanuel the Promises of Ages!(Ps 24)
My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help I am scorned and despised by all! Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying, “Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!” My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within me. My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead. My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet I can count all my bones. My enemies stare at me and gloat. They divide my garments among themselves and throw dicefor my clothing Ps 22
My disclaimer: I know there is A LOT of debate on wether Jesus did or did not go to hell, hades, abyss, spirits in prison(that’s another argument in itself) I have merely given you the verses to think about for yourself and my wonderings today. “I don’t consider myself with things to great for me to grasp, but instead I have calmed and quited myself” Ps 131 🙂 Christ Has Risen, Indeed He Has !

Your most recent post did not have a comment section that I saw. Lisa, I am so excited about some things that have begun to gel together it takes my breath away. I believe it will excite you as well. If you can, get your hands on this book and read it. “The Harbinger” by Jonathon Cahn. Lisa, is it fiction but it is pulled straight out of the bible.
I think you understand one thing about me. I feel as though I have called to be a watchman upon the wall and I see the enemy coming. I also see God coming, but I am blowing the horn as loudly as I know how. This book is igniting some fires that began to light about a month ago. It started Jonah for me. This may sound odd but I believe that Jonah was willing to kill himself in that ocean rather than deliver a message of mercy to Nineveh. I could not understand this reasoning. Why such hatred. It is not clear in scripture until you begin to dig. I dug in history as well. The Ninevites were a violent and feared people. Their ancestors may have been fighting us in Mosul, during the Iraq war. They were the Assyrians (one of the names of the beast is the Assyrian.) And they, under the guidance of a demonic spirit, developed the skills of terror. In other words they were one of the first exporters of terrorism.
Terrorism is a huge tie in with this book I mentioned, as well as Nineveh, and prophecies of judgment against Israel, and now the United States.
Get this book. If you cannot let me know where to send one. You have got to read this. It is taking my breath away. Now, what am supposed to do with this information, as no one will listen to me. I feel as though I am supposed to send this last post as a letter to every pastor that I can think of, and I can think of several. Perhaps I back off some of the wording. What do you think?
Love you sis,
Ozzie
