“Be Ready” . The last 5-6 years I’ve always heard to be prepared, but now something new. What is the difference? Ready for what? I always thought it meant to be ready for the Lord’s coming, but after studying through the scriptures, it could also mean to prepare yourself for the days ahead:

• to be ready to stand up for your faith
• to be ready to fulfill the calling on your life
• to be ready to fight for what is right
• to be sharpened like a tool
• to be prepared and ready to meet the Lord
• to have a zeal and eagerness to go forward on the mission you are sent
• to be waiting for instructions from the Lord with an ear to hear.
• To be ready for the time is coming quickly
• To be skilled and now that you have read this, to be on alert
• To be quickly ready
• To be beautiful, gracious, and pleasant
• A readiness in spirit for any opportunity that lies ahead
• Ready for the next season to come
• A readiness to obey Christ
• A ready ear to hear what the Lord’s instructions are
• Having already been prepared for every good work
• An eagerness to set out with the Lord’s instructions
• A listening ear, to be on alert
• Staying close or near to Him, waiting on Him

For the time is upon us, a time is close at hand. Preparations are done. Time to stand up with an ear to hear, waiting for the Lord.

Keep your heart and mind ready at every moment.  Habukkah, the prophet said:

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower,
and will watch to see what he will say unto me,
and what I shall answer when I am reproved”

I believe the days of Ezekiel 7 are upon us. On 7-12-08, I was praying to the Lord. I was asking Him about everything that was going on. Everyone around me was in a financial crisis, losing jobs, home values dropping, and I cried out to Him and He led me to Ezekiel 7-12 : Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their’s: neither shall there be wailing for them.  The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.  For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.  They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.  The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.  But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.  All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.  They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.  They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them,  1 Thes 5:6-11

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

  1. Couldn’t agree more! Daily I see the wickedness which has gripped this world. Through seducing spirits man has forgotten God! Great post Lisa and many, many blessings to you…Robin

    1. Thanks Robin, I see the same thing and people are becoming more and more lukewarm. Thanks Robin, and many blessings to you 🙂 Lisa

  2. There are exactly 100 occurrences of “ready” in the King James. Interesting.
    First occurrence:
(Genesis 18:6) “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.”
    Last occurrence:
(Revelation 19:7) “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”
    5th occurrence (5 = Grace):
(Exodus 14:6) “And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:”

    1. Hiya
Yes!exactly 100. I Couldn’t help but notice the  Numbers here in genesis and revelation you  mentioned:
      Wonder what 13:1 is?
Isaiah 30:13 is the center at #50- a warning to the rebellious people. Yikes!  Isaiah 30 just scared  me.
Both Revelation  and Genesis verses talk about a wife and  a meal. Ex 14 used a different word asar (h631) usually is translated  tie, bind, imprison, harness , prepare or hold -something for the chariot.  I only saw it translated to the word  ready in two places and prepare once. Get the army ready!?!?or release prisoners held captive ?  (rev 19)

I have to look into this, a friend sent me 2chron 20:14- talk about interesting. If you look up the strongs definition and put It all together, I think it may have a meaning /message . I haven’t put it all together Yet bc I ‘think’ I found a super cool discovery in psalms 23 I need to finish.
Thanks for sharing – and while I’m babbling on… I posted a pic on header above of a pic I took on Easter night 3-31-13 of west sunset just as sun went down. I was cleaning out photos and I didn’t notice those fire lights when I took pic. They showed up in 4 pics I took that night of sunset. Wondering if anyone had any idea of what that is?
Peace and blessings to you, I enjoy the extra thinking and pondering I have now: 18;6 and 19:7 have to mean something…  17:5 grace. –maybe I’ve studied too much today 🙂 the Lord bless you and keep you,
      Thanks again, Lisa

  3. Good post. Even better comments!! Yep, I’ll confirm, so many times lately Abba has been showing me that the time of preparation is over, or almost over. We, the world, culturally, economically, governmentally stand on the precipice of a fall that can happen violently at any moment. May Yahweh guide and protect us!!

    Psalm 91.
