Post Concussion Syndrome Week 4 recovery PCS (day 33)

Comment 1 Standard

I know these aren’t in line with my usual posts, but if someone is googling for help with PCS, I hope they can find some kind of hope here and know they are NOT alone. The video below is the only site I could find relating to what I am dealing with after weeks of searching.

I mentioned last week how I was coping and listed a few things that helped me including verses. If anyone is suffering form PCS or you know anyone who is, below is an excellent video that describes what we are going through. If anyone asks how I am, I either reply with a good, okay, alright or hurting. I don’t go into detail because I don’t want to think about it, but Laura, in the video below, describes everything I am experiencing as I trek though this.

Like shes says, we don’t have a cast on our head and we look normal, but we are dealing with many concussion symptoms no one can see – not even MRI’s or CT scans.

Am I any better than last week? Well, it’s like asking if I saw any growth in the tree in my backyard. I’m sure it grew, but I just can’t see it. Please know that hope is ahead and don’t ever ever give up. Use scripture to pull you out of the pit of depression and anxiety, ask for prayer – or leave a comment and I will be praying for you. The bible says to rejoice in our trials, find something to give thanks about and listen to uplifting songs of hope. I am thankful God stopped everything in my life and had me slow down. I now have more time with the Lord and more time for prayer.

In the first week or two after hitting my head, I felt like I was being sealed up in a coffin and no one could see  I was alive. Inside I was myself and my thoughts were normal but I couldn’t express anything. It made me wonder about the many people and children I see in wheelchairs that can’t talk or express themselves. I wonder if inside they want so badly to talk and express themselves but they are shut in and no one understands.

We are still the same, our processor is just a little slow

How much longer do I have? I don’t know and I don’t care right now. I don’t want to think about it. I can’t walk 7 miles or go to dance class everyday like I used to, but I’ll find new things to do. Take the challenge! Be strong! Walk by faith, even when we can’t see it. Remember Hebrews 11 says : Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You may not see or feel it, but have Faith that God will heal you and don’t let your faith get tossed around like the waves of the sea. Get scripture out and say it all day if you have to, keep your Faith alive and refuse to entertain thoughts of hopelessness and fear. It’s not easy. It’s a war and you need to fight it.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength Isaiah 41,43

This song reminded of a dream, I was standing in the midst of a great ocean with no strength left, but God was there taking me by the hand. I overcame every raging storm before me and deadly waves as if they were nothing. The Lord strengthened me and lifted me up. This dream gave me understanding to the verse in Isaiah, 41:10; “The Lord renews my strength”. May God give you hope and understanding in this amazing promise.

 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

          The word wait in this verse is the Hebrew word Quvah. Quvah means to bind together of strings made on a cord or bound primitive root, to bind together by twisting.  The verse still is correct in using the word wait, but the Lord explained this verse further to me in a dream I am sharing here. It probably didn’t make sense to say those who cord or bind with strings on the Lord shall renew their strength, but I can explain it further. I suddenly understood this verse after the dream I had-  when I read the hebrew meaning that replaced the word wait- quvah- I jumped for joy! I got it! It’s like finding ancient buried treasure. I hope you find joy in this revelation as well 🙂

        I had a dream…….

         I was standing on the sand before a great ocean. As I looked out onto the waters, I could see stepping-stones on top of all the waters. I knew that I was to walk a straight path on these steps across the waters. Although there were other stepping-stones around me to the right and left, I knew the straight path before me was the best way to go and the way I was supposed to go. Above my right hand was bound cord or rope that was my help. It height went up to the heavens and was always there for me to grab on to for help or strength as I walked through storms and trials.

stepping stones on ocean with my path prepared. Deeper and darker watersI began to walk upon the stones that were on the water.  Upon each stone were words or writing in another language that I did not understand. I knew each stone represented a trial, test, or tribulation, but I did not know the language written upon the stone. (it was written in black and looked Arabic or Hebrew)

the deeper I got, the darker and more rought and choppy the waters became.

As I started out along the shallow waters, my walk was easy. I stepped upon each stone and kept on and on as I walked further out to sea. I knew above me was a cord/rope/ bound string that came from heaven. At the end of this cord/ rope was a round attachment so that I could hold on to it in order to receive my help and strength . It seemed to follow along side of me.This rope/ help was always next to me, always close enough for me to grab on to.

 Sometimes I held on to this help I had available, but other times I just wanted to walk on my own strength. The further I walked out to sea, the more intense and trying the trials and tests became. When I continued to walk on my own strength, I could not move. I stood and struggled and struggled to get further, to get to the next stone, but it was like wrestling a wall. When I reached up and held on to my Help from Heaven, I walked as if there were no trial. I could easily walk in peace through each storm and test as if there were none.
However, many times I wanted to go on my own. I would let go at times and try to walk in my own strength. There I was, in the middle of a dark and stormy ocean. I stood with dark skies above me and raging waves fighting me. I said to God: “Why can’t I just walk on the water without these trials? It would be so much easier if I could just walk on water” with that, I lifted my arm, grabbed on to the help the Lord gave me and kept walking easily again.
The stones were a a light beige, round, smooth with writing on them. The stepping stone covered the waters and the stones got further and further apart as I went further. I had walked very far out into the sea. I could not longer see land and the waters were getting dark and the waves were getting ferocious and terrifying.  The trials and tests that I walked upon became stronger and too big for me. I tried to fight them on my own, but I realized that when I tried to get through these trials on my own, I sat there longer. I couldn’t move further. I would fight and wrestle to get to my next stepping stone, but my strength was no match, and my strength was for nothing. I had to keep reminding myself to reach up and take the help that was there for me. When I would reach up and grab my help from heaven, I was reneewed and strengthened and could easily walk forward over m,y troubles as if it were nothing. I knew I had to keep going- for there was land ahead- even though I was in the middle of the ocean and had a long way to go. There was always hope ahead, there was alway help by my side. I wouldn’t be there forever.

  I realized that is the way it is here on earth. We wrestle and struggle with our problems, our trials, our tribulations- to no avail. It is worthless to struggle on our own. We are weak without the Lord. Reach out and grab your help from above. It’s right there for you. Put on your weapons of warfare, they are before you. Fall on your knees before Him, He waits for you.

He gives you strength and Power:

  • Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Is 41
  • Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! Ps 27:14
  • When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. Isaiah 43
  • Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land… But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble.  And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. Ps 37
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4” 13
  • Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10
  • Wisdom strengthens the wise More than ten rulers of the city. Eccl 7:9

.

 In 2 Samuel 22, David wrote:
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
When the waves of death surrounded me,
The floods of ungodliness made me afraid
The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.
He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters
He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me;
For they were too strong for me
They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my support.
He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.
“The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness;
According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.
For I have kept the ways of the Lord,
And have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all His judgments were before me;
And as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.

But those who (cling to the Lord) wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 41 30

Qavah to wait, to cling to:  learn how to wait on the Lord. Hebrew word “קוה” (qavah).  The literal meaning of the word is “to bind together like a cord.”making a rope (cord) by twisting or weaving (binding) thin threads together to form the rope.

Where did Jesus go when He died? Christos Anesti! Alithos Anesti ! Christ is Risen!

   Putting scripture together and pondering on the Lord’s last moment’s, this is what I imagine happened during those last moments on the cross to His resurrection :

           A great heavenly host of angels, the prophets, the forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the Archangel Gabriel surrounded the cross at that moment. They watched as the Son of God was tried and beaten throughout the night. They watched as Jesus carried the cross to Calvary. When He was nailed to the cross, all the heavens stood silent. A great silence and stillness covered the heavens as tears slipped down their faces, their fury held back as they watched the Savior suffer in torment. Abraham watching his children spit and strike the Lord, the angels wanting desperately to rescue Him, and the prophets of old bowing their heads with broken hearts as they all watched the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the Lion of tribe of Judah ,the King of kings , the descendant from the line of King David nailed to a cross. The savior of the world hung on the cross in deep abandonment, sorrow, pain and rejection. On the cross for 6 hours and after 3 hours of complete darkess, they heard the Lord cry out “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” and then another cry “It is finished!”

He bowed his head and released his spirit. It was done. He died and the earth quaked. The bodies of the saints who slept arose and came out of their graves ( scripture says the came out of their graves after His resurrection and they went into the city and appeared to many) The thick veil in the temple tore in two and the proclamation of Isaiah 52-53 (Zech 12:10) echoed out:

Who has believed our message?
To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm?
 My servant grew up in the LORD’s presence like a tender green shoot,like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.
He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care.
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him
the sins of us all.
 He was oppressed and treated harshly,
yet he never said a word.
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.
And as a sheep is silent before the shearers,
he did not open his mouth.
 Unjustly condemned,he was led away.
No one cared that he died without descendants,
that his life was cut short in midstream.
But he was struck down
for the rebellion of my people.
 He had done no wrong
and had never deceived anyone.
But he was buried like a criminal;
he was put in a rich man’s grave.
But it was the LORD’s good plan to crush him
and cause him grief.
Yet when his life is made an offering for sin,
he will have many descendants.
He will enjoy a long life,
and the LORD’s good plan will prosper in his hands.
When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish,
he will be satisfied.
And because of his experience,
my righteous servant will make it possible
for many to be counted righteous,
for he will bear all their sins.
I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier,
because he exposed himself to death.
He was counted among the rebels.
He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels

See, my servant will prosper; he will be highly exalted. But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.  And he will startle many nations. Kings will stand speechless in his presence. For they will see what they had not been told;  they will understand what they had not heard about. And because of his experience, my righteous servant has made it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he has borne all their sins.  I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebelsHe bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels. He has  opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. He has made the people holy by the blood He shed, He has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world.  With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever  so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. He mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. “

    As He released His spirit, He was taken up into the arms of the heavenly host who quickly gathered around Him. Each wanted to comfort the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, the Messiah, the Holy One. They surrounded Him and held Him with great love, as He was comforted and strengthened. He, the Son of God, was given all authority in Heaven and Earth from God the Father. All Power was given to Him. As He regained His strength, He was given the keys to Hades. He went into the dark abyss with a mighty angelic force behind Him. Entering into the gates of Hell, He proclaimed freedom every captive “ You have been set free! I have come to save You! Your Father in Heaven has sent for you!”  His voice like thunder, echoing throughout for every man and woman to hear. His thundering words went out teaching and preaching the Good News. He walked through the gates of the depths and throughout the abyss. He made sure He spoke to everyone who had ever been created, gathering as many captives as He could. The demons who surrounded Him were silenced and frozen in fear, as the Mighty and Powerful Son of God passed by. Powerless before the Son of God, the demons were unable to speak as they trembled in His presence. He gave one last chance to all those Spirits who had died thousands of years ago and in the flood. The Lord never once forgot them, His thoughts of them were as numerous as the sands on the seashore.The Savior, full of power and authority continued showing the captives His hands and feet, showing everyone what our Savior had done so they could be set free.  Many called out to Him, grabbing on to Him, following and believing, but yet others – in anger, like the Pharisees, mocked Him and treated Him as the people of the world treated Him.  Just as the Pharisees knew He was God and choose to reject Him for their own pride, status and evil hearts, so some of the people in Hell also treated Him.

  The Lord Jesus took His captives to freedom as they ascended into the Heavens, setting the captives free from the pit of torment and dread that was supposed to be eternal for each one of them.  This happened on the third day after He appeared to Mary, for He said “I haven’t yet ascended to the Father.”   He then  ascended to God the Father with the captives He had freed. As they reached the Great Throne room before the Lord God Almighty, the Father’s heart leaped for joy as He saw His children. He gave each one a Great Embrace as if they were the only child of the Father- telling them- “ My Child, I have always loved you with an everlasting love. Since the days of Noah, I have never forgotten you. You have never left my mind. I am filled with Joy that you are here with me. I have a place prepared for you.” Jesus came back to earth to see and talk to His friends giving them instructions ” Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… and lo, I am with you always” . He showed them His hands and feet, proving that He is the Son of the Living God. After this, He was taken up into the Heavens where He sits today at the right hand of God the Father. “During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.”

The heavens, the freed captives, and the angelic host filled the heavens with great Praises to the King of Kings and they have never stopped – even unto this day.

            I heard the praises ringing out to the King of Kings one night. I’ll never forget it. I’ve never heard anything so beautiful. Today, I can still hear them sing praises to the new born king, Peace on earth, goodwill toward men, Christ was born in Bethlehem -the praises to Him ring forth forever and ever.
Amen and Glory Hallelujah! Our King is Risen.

 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Mark 21:25

My disclaimer: I know there is A LOT of debate on whether Jesus did or did not go to hell, hades, abyss, spirits in prison (that’s another argument in itself) I have merely given you the verses to think about for yourself and my wonderings today.

 “I don’t consider myself with things to great for me to grasp, but instead I have calmed and quieted myself” Ps 131 🙂

Christ Has Risen, Indeed He Has !

Here are verses that make me consider this:

1-Jesus said this on the 3rd day: Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.  John 20:17 Immediately after that verse we are told he ascended up to heaven, and later that evening he met up with his disciples, then after that he tells Thomas John 20”17     Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” John 20:27

2-  When you ascended to the heights, you led a crowd of captives. You received gifts from the people, even from those who rebelled against you. Now the Lord God will live among us there. Psalm 68:18

3- However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people. Eph 4:7-8

4- For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit 1 Peter 4:6

5-  By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 1 Peter 3:18 -20

6-Or, Who shall descend into the deep(go down to the abyss)?   Roman 10

7-  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenanceActs 2: 23-40

8- For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:40

Job 38: 1717 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

Zechariah *:11- Because of the covenant I made with you,
    sealed with blood,
I will free your prisoners
    from death in a waterless dungeon.
12 Come back to the place of safety,
    all you prisoners who still have hope!
I promise this very day
    that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.
13 Judah is my bow,
    and Israel is my arrow.
Jerusalem[i] is my sword,
    and like a warrior, I will brandish it against the GreeksChristos Anesti, Alithos Anesti! which is Greek for “Christ is Risen” and we all respond “Indeed He has” Amen and Amen!

Isaiah 53

Comments 4 Standard

   Certain verses in Isaiah 53 seemed to pop out at me this week. Even though I was reading another chapter in Isaiah, somehow, out of the corner of my eye, these verses pointed to new directions showing more layers. Right? Wrong? Just observations on new discoveries:

Isaiah 53
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; (the earth in Genesis when the Spirit hovered over it – “and the earth was without form, and void)

and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.(Leah, Jacob’s first wife)

He is despised and rejected of men (Joseph, Jacob’s son)

a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: (Job- a man of sorrows and acquainted with deep grief; he was despised and they esteemed Him not)

and we hid as it were our faces from him; (Moses, when he came down from the mountain)

he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (the prophets)

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

When you hear the Lord call you, get up and answer His call.  Consider your heart in all things; keep your heart close to Him.  Don’t just honor Him with your lips for show, but truly Honor Him with all you have. Honor Him with all your heart, mind and your soul with all your might, strength and your life.

Day by day I will give praise honor and thanks to the Lord, I will not worry about  tomorrow or fear the evil that stalks about for the Lord is my king and He is mighty above all.

Blessed are  those who keep justice and he who does righteousness at all times! Ps 106:3
Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men
