I had a dream about a year ago and in this dream, I stood before a great king. He seemed larger than life and he sat on a great throne. It seemed I was only 1/3 of his height. We were going back in forth in debate- well only I was debating- on the subject of salvation, but the king only had one answer and would defeat my argument each time.
I walked into a room and there was a great king on a large throne and between us seemed to be desk. I stood and argued that it was not possible to be saved by grace alone. I argued with all the scripture I knew and the king would reply each time “No, it is only by grace that you are saved”
What! That can’t be, I would argue back. The bible is clear that we are not saved unless we believe and even that isn’t enough, because scripture says that even the devils believe, and with this that we need works, because the bible says with out works, our faith is dead. So we need to believe, but we need to add to that faith, but yet, still that is not good enough, we need works – because scripture says that.
The king would gently reply: “It is only by grace that you are saved”
Really? I argued back, so how does that make sense? What about John 3:16?So I guess everybody’s saved, if it’s only grace? But what about those who don’t believe in Christ? Are they saved only by grace because what good is believing, faith and works then? Do they all disappear? What about Hebrews 11:6- We can’t please God without faith and Romans 1:5 and 16:26 we need to believe and OBEY, and 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing and he cuts off every branch that doesn’t produce fruit- so that proves we need works; and works without love is worthless, so now we need works, love, faith, and fruit to be saved!!!!!!
“ No, it is only by grace that you are saved” He kept saying to me. I was totally annoyed because I didn’t feel like I was winning this argument. The king would look at me with the most loving eyes and let me finish each thing I said before he spoke. He seemed to look at me as a loving father would, even in my frustration – he would calmly tilt his head back touching the back of his throne with his head and smile as if I were quite entertaining. He never got angry and always looked at me with loving eyes, even though I was mouthing off and flying my hands all over the place with my argument.
Each time I would finish my argument, he would pause…. Smile at me and say – in a ‘he was so right way’ – “it is only by grace that you are saved”.
And I kept on: Well why do I need to keep running the race? Aren’t I supposed to win the prize? I keep running as it says in 1 Corinthians 9, and what about faith- what good are we without faith in the Lord Jesus Christ – His death and resurrection? 1 tim 1:9 and all the old testament great men were honored because of their faith – like Abraham- because of their faith- in Hebrews 11” And Romans 3 says we are made right with God because of our faith, not obedience.Doesn’t faith justify us in Gal 2:16 and Romans 5:1? So it’s not grace – impossible– Salvation is belief in Jesus, plus works, plus faith, plus love, plus fruit – because without that….aren’t we chopped off that vine?
The King loving and calmly replied (as he smiled at me) “Lisa, it is only by grace that you are saved”
No, I said, you are wrong- impossible. I know all the scripture and I know I’m right. I saw him look at me, enjoying this conversation. He knew he was right and he knew my argument wasn’t standing up to his. So I continued on…..okay, well what about this verse: “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God” where does grace fit in there? Doesn’t that verse prove we are saved or not saved by our actions? And see! Look at Romans 4” But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.” So here we go with rock, paper, scissors! It’s faith, and not works? But still – it’s faith in God, right? So now it’s just faith, but wait Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble” (James 2:19).- so faith and belief are different? Anyways- how can God’s grace alone save us? I know God’s grace is important, but I know we are saved because we believe, and even that is not enough! Because even the devils believe, and we must add to that faith because without faith we cannot please God and to that we must add works because faith is shown in works, and to that we must add love because works without love is nothing and to that we add fruit, because without that we are cut off from the vine, and there you have it, I win.
He leaned over to me, and I really think he had a sparkle in his eye, patiently smiling, making sure I was done and said
It is only by grace, that you are saved.
The argument went on and on through the night. I kept quoting scripture, but the king kept winning the argument with his reply “You are saved by grace” ,Uggghhhhhh! I woke up and I still felt like I had not won this argument.
What exactly is Grace?
This dream prompted me to intensely study Grace and what I have found is truly amazing. I’m not done, I have over 30 pages written on the subject, and hopefully I can put it together soon in a post worthy manner. The study seems to be taking forever. I think I have found some great discoveries as I study Grace. As I put all the scriptures together to define grace, I have found an interesting possible link between grace and the Holy Spirit. The definition of grace almost exactly matches the Holy Spirit, but that will have to be another post, for now, I just hope to have you thinking. 🙂
As the Holy Spirit has sealed us for the day of redemption, could also God’s grace do the same? Is Gods grace the underlying denominator to faith, works, belief, love, and fruit?
I studied Acts a few months ago in order to gather all he said to the people about Salvation in Christ Jesus and I came up with these 7 things:
ETERNAL SALVATION- AN UNDERSERVED GIFT FROM GOD
1-BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST- FAITH
2-CONFESS YOUR SINS AND REPENT
3-TURN BACK TO GOD- He wants you to SEEK HIM
4-BE BAPTISED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST-WASHING AWAY YOUR SINS
5-PROVE IT BY THE WAY YOU LIVE
6-GET RID OF ALL SIN AND WICKEDNESS
7-WATCH OUT FOR FALSE TEACHERS AND WOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING
As I considered all this I suddenly thought:
It is by grace that 1- I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
It is by grace that 2- He forgives me when I confess my sins and repent
It is by grace that 3- He calls me to seek Him
It is by grace that 4- He washes away my sins through baptism
It is by grace that 5-He continues to work in me, leading, guiding and teaching me to be Holy like He is holy
It is by grace that 6- He gives me His Word to teach me how to live
It is by grace that 7- He gives me discernment and knowledge to know right from wrong.
And this verse was brought to my remembrance : “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” Isaiah 55:8-9
I’m still not done studying, but I keep on…I keep on….
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves Ephesians 2:8
Last night I dreamt of a Shepherd, he was tall and in a field with a staff and his herd of sheep. He was going on the outside of his herd and gathering all of the sheep that had wandered off, one at a time, then suddenly I saw a fisherman gathering in fish from a net…
“Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19
The devil likes to play with words, he manipulates like a fierce attorney. You may not “lose your salvation”, salvation can’t be lost – that’s ridiculous!…..but you can be cut off of from God’s holy family tree (Romans 11:17-23). You can, if you become lukewarm, be spewed out of His mouth (Rev 3:16). If you chose to deny Him, He will deny you before the Father (Matt 10:33). Is it possible for a name to be blotted out of God’s book? (Rev. 3:5,Ps 69:28, Ez 13:9).I would like to give a dire warning of the devils action plan to break you off from the vine while at the same time reassuring you of your salvation in Christ. The devil is always trying to break you down. Those trials you are going through – it’s not other people – it’s a spirit at work behind them.
***I had a vision about 2 years that explained this to me, and I have tried to put it into words so you can understand, I know it’s a long post, I tried to shorten it, but felt it necessary to back up each thing with scripture ***
THINK ABOUT IT:
1- you have an enemy – he works to destroy the hearts of men, to put out the flame of the Holy Spirit within you with attacks, daggers, lies, and anything else that works.
2- a lukewarm Christian is in great danger.
3- Are you following your flesh or the Spirit of God? (Galatians 5)One leads to life, and one leads to death.
4- Who do you really belong to? Do you speak from the world’s viewpoint? Or from God’s view point? Pay attention: “Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them.“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. John 15:18. 1 John 4:5
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.Revelation 3:5 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! Revelation 3:16
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. Ephesians 2:2
PAULS Steps of Salvation WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF ACTS:
1-BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST- FAITH
2-CONFESS YOUR SINS AND REPENT
3-TURN BACK TO GOD- He wants you to SEEK HIM
4-BE BAPTISED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST-WASHING AWAY YOUR SINS
5-PROVE IT BY THE WAY YOU LIVE
6-GET RID OF ALL SIN AND WICKEDNESS
7-WATCH OUT FOR FALSE TEACHERS AND WOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING
Lose salvation? Let me reword this so I can explain this more clearly
The devil has a plan to completely cut you off from God- yes, even after you are saved. And how does he do that? Once you open a door for him to come in, he tries to sever you from the vine- this is in the extreme cases of ongoing sin. You need to watch yourself and be careful not go back to your old ways. You must be a new and transformed person, born again. The devil ultimately wants to cut you off from God – like cutting a branch off a tree and he “up’s his game” by choking out the word of God- just like the scripture says in Matt 13:22 and Mark 4:19. You go to church, you listen and listen, but hear nothing. Nothing is going into your heart. Eventually this chokehold and the strongholds will snuff out the fire of the Holy Spirit in you. You will be dark and like the dead. You trusted all those who told you once saved, always saved, but if you don’t call out to Him for help – you will never return on your own strength. They use your sins to tie you down and hold you captive by trying to destroy your heart for God and ultimately cut you off. They’ve got you tied up- your sins tied to ropes holding you down.
What sorrow for those who drag their sins behind them with ropes made of lies, who drag wickedness behind them like a cart! An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. “He wove my sins into ropes to hitch me to a yoke of captivity. The Lord sapped my strength and turned me over to my enemies; I am helpless in their hands. Proverbs 5:22 Isaiah 5:18 Lamentations 1:14
DON’T OPEN DOORS FOR THE DEVIL TO ENTER
Gen 4:6-7 Why are you so angry?” the LORD asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master
– Watch out sin is waiting at your door, it wants to rule you, it wants to be your desire….but you must rule it:
The devil prowls around like a lion to kill steal and destroy- do you think he hears you say the sinners prayer and says “oh well, I guess I can’t try to destroy him”? No!!! He will put every type of temptation before you so you will open up a door for him to come back in – sorcery, horoscopes, witchcraft, adultery, pornography, drugs, or any weakness you had before and more! Doubt, faithlessness, lost trust- these will lead you along the wrong paths. Once the door is open, the action plan begins.
He Sends in the legions: Wow! Your place was clean and swept clean (that is, your heart, I mean) so the enemy goes and calls in a legion more wicked than the ones who had previously held you captive.
Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?” And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man. “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation. Matthew 12:43-45 Luke 11:24-26,Mark 5, Luke 8:30
Their plan is to ultimately break you down. At this point, your salvation is still secure – even through the struggles, trials, and troubles. You must overcome temptation- and the Lord is always there to help you. Here’s where it gets tricky- if you decide to become a slave to your lusts and passions instead of putting God first- the strongholds set in and they soon begin to try to rule and control your life. Strong holds are a pair of demonic hands that wrap themselves around the different outflows of your heart. These outflows determine the course of your life and they also connect believers to the Lord –as if through a vine. The outflow of your heart is similar to our real heart with the chambers and how the blood flows to different parts of our body. So it is with the outflows of the spiritual heart. They outflow into different parts of your life. I saw 7 or 8 in the vision – family, work, life, happiness, etc. Once a demon has control over a part of your life – as an addiction or sin – the hands get wrapped around that one outflow-
The best way I can describe it would be to tie a tight string around a green stem or branch. Eventually the nutrients wouldn’t get though, and if kept there long enough with a stronger pull, the branch would eventually break and die. There’s more…..
Spiritual Heart? Outflows? It’s the WELL within you.
Pay attention to these verses: Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. Luke 6:45 John 7:38 Luke 12:34 Proverbs 27:19 Psalm 51:17
The outflow of the heart is what flows from the inside of your heart. You see, your heart is like a well. If you put good things in the well, your water will be pure and holy, but if you put wrong things in your well, the water that flows out will be dirty. It’s exactly as King Solomon wrote in Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
What are you putting in your heart? What are you putting in your children’s heart? Everything you do, say, hear, and places you go – goes into your heart and flows out into your life. Are you depositing anger? Bitterness? Unforgivenes? Watching filthy tv? Movies? Whatever you put in your heart will flow out into your life. You must put in the living water (John 4, John 7) – the hope and salvation of Jesus Christ. Fill your well with praises, songs, and scripture – let your mouth only speak things that are true and honorable. Run the race to win. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling! (Phil 2:12)
The devils “Action Plan”
The devil’s action plan from here is this-to keep working on this person with temptations and troubles until they have a pair of strongholds on each outflow your life. If there is a legion who have taken over, the demons stays behind this person just in case a stronghold is broken by the person- let’s say, he finally breaks free from an addiction -then the next demon in line from the legion grabs that outflow and the person is back in bondage. He keeps breaking free, and breaking free – on his own, only to be defeated again and again. This is exactly what happens in the case of addictions. You are dealing with demonic entities and only the Power of God through Jesus can bring true salvation.
I heard the person say “ I can break free from this, I am strong, I can give this up if I want” and I saw the demons behind him laugh and laugh. They knew it wasn’t true. No man can match the strength of the legion in line behind him.
Okay, so now you have these strongholds trying to break you off from God and a legion of demons behind you. You continue to go to church, and struggle privately within yourself. Fear of people – we Christians need to STOP looking down on sinners and help them out! Okay, where was I ….yes, at this point, you struggle, but still have your salvation- you try, you try…now as time goes on…….you may make up your own rules- “well, maybe this is okay, maybe I can keep sinning”, make excuses, hmm…maybe this isn’t a sin- the world says it’s okay, maybe your conscience has even become seared… and the sin begins to rule your life.
Now at this point, the ultimate goal of the enemy is to break the outflow- to squeeze it so tight it actually is broken- like breaking a branch, wait…It’s exactly like breaking a branch. Just like the scriptures said, If God can cut the true family off the tree and graft you in – don’t think your so great or you’ll get chopped off too. Yes, we are tied together with Christ through the outflows of our heart. It connects us to Him. This is what Romans 11:17-23 tells us: “For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’t spare you either”
IF YOU STOP TRUSTING YOU WILL BE CUT OFF: Romans 11:22 But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree. 18 But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.19 “Well,” you may say, “those branches were broken off to make room for me.” Yes, but remember—those branches were broken off because they didn’t believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. 21 For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’t spare you either. Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. **But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.*** 23 And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree.( Let me break this down from the original definition: you must continue in His goodness, in faithfulness and not in unbelief or unfaithfulness.)
I’ve seen and heard of people who were raised as Christians, believed and were saved, but then went the way of the world and now deny that Jesus is the only way. The bible is clear that if we deny Him, he will deny us. The bible is clear that we cannot stop trusting or we will be cut off.
And I will destroy those who used to worship me but now no longer do. They no longer ask for the LORD’s guidance or seek my blessings. Zephaniah 1:6
When I talk of these outflows of the heart that go into other parts of your life, they are a vine that flows straight to the Father and through this vine, you are connected to Him. Jesus is the vine. You’re part of a great vine connected together with Him and other Christians. The enemy’s plan is to cut you off- to break your branches/outflows with strongholds so you are ultimately cut off from God. “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. . …. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it. (John 15) Colossians 2: 18
If the situation gets really bad, there is a demon who is in charge of the chokehold. Or maybe, I wonder, if he’s there before? But I saw this near the end when all the outflows of the heart had a tight grip(on each one I saw the word Stonghold) and each about to break. The person was going to church and trying and trying- but nothing was getting through. He went through all the motions, but there was a pair of demonic hands around his neck stopping each word of God that was supposed to go in His heart. It’s just like the scripture says in the parable of the farmer and the seeds:
Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. Matt 13:3-23, Luke 8, Mark 4. Let’s not forget the parable of the 10 virgins (Matthew 25). They all originally had oil and they all were waiting, but only half left with the groom and the other half was left behind. Don’t forget about the scripture about those who cried out “Lord, Lord, we did this and that for you… and the Lord replied:“Go away, I never knew you”(matt 7)
ENEMY’S PLAN IS ALMOST COMPLETED- THE FINAL BREAK
So far the enemy’s plan is working, the strongholds are in place, the chokehold is not allowing the water of life in, the fire within the heart has now been ultimately snuffed out. Complete darkness. A deep dark and lonely place! If you think you are in this place, you must turn back to the Lord , call on Him and He will rescue you. Ask for prayer! Seek help. You will not be able to conquer this on your own strength!
The end of the vision was the scariest part, the outflows had been broken or cut and the darkness I saw terrified me. The outflows no longer flowed connecting to the Lord- each one had been severed, yet one, in the end of my vision…. I could see one left, barely a thread left, as if a vine had been shredded and there was still a small sliver left. I could see the Lord’s hand reaching down to help this person. I could see his arm stretched out and that He loved this person –as if he were the only his only son!!!! But it was ultimately up to the person – who would he turn to? Would he turn back to God and renew himself? Or would he ultimately cause the last break and cut himself off from God?
Let’s end with a few thoughts:
We are not taking about salvation by works here, nor are we abusing the precious Grace of God. The devil has a plan to knock you and your salvation out. If you don’t watch yourself, you will fall into his trap. It is not by works you are saved, but you better be ready that you don’t go back to your old sinful ways. You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. (Matt 7) Well who can get in????? “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible” Mark 10, Matthew 19 If we are always saved, once saved, what’s the point of the bible’s warnings?
Why did Paul bother to keep returning to people to get them back on the right path?
Why did the Lord end the bible with these warnings: Wake up! Come back to you first Love! Turn from your indifference! You tolerate wrong teaching! Repent!
HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD
Beware of false teachers, don’t follow them along their road to destruction 2 Peter 2:1
You are saved by God’s grace – and it is not by works Gal 5 If you keep sinning after you know the truth and knowingly continue in sin, there is no longer any sacrifice for these sins. Heb 10:26 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” John 10:27-28 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness matt 7:21-23 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also 1 John 2:19 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. Hebrews 6:4
Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief. (Warning to Sardis) “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.(Warning to Laodocia) But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. 6 Warning to Pergamum: But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. In a similar way, you have some Nicolaitans among you who follow the same teaching. Repent of your sin, or I will come to you suddenly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth. (Warning to Ephesus)
Don’t ever give up! Turn from your wicked ways and come before Him with a repentant heart, call out to Him with fear and trembling. “Dear friends, work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear” For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:15,Phil 2:12)
When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. Ezekiel 33
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him that heareth say, Come! And let him that is athirst come! And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Dear Lord, I pray for those suffering through this, may you restore them Lord. Break the binds that have held them down, release the captives and set them free. Protect them from all evil and give them wisdom and understanding. Give them a new heart and renew a right spirit within them. Give them a desire to seek you and love you above all things. Release the prisoners and those who are about to perish. Restore the lost and help us gather them back in. Save us, restore our sight so we can see. Make the path ahead plain for us and bring those who have fallen away -back into your everlasting arms. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen

And a Ruler of Israel shall come forth
And He shall be called:
1- Son of the Most High God “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
1 Chance in 480 billion x 1 billion x 1 Trillion
of ONE man fulfilling all these prophecies
His Name is Jesus Christ
“I will declare the decree: For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6-7 The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You. The nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” ( Hey this verse reminds me of the statue in Daniel – the feet being a mixture – clay and iron- and the rock cut from the mountain that would crush it to pieces) Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:4-12
Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know!Proverbs 30:4
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”Matthew 27:54 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20
“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass Revelation 2:18: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.John 3:19
2-His Name is Immanuel : God with us
Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
”So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us. Matthew 1:23
3-He shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this Isaiah 9:6-7
Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:32-33
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.Matthew 28:18 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
4-He shall be called the BRANCH
“Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the LORD; Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.Isaiah 11:1 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.Jeremiah 23:5 ‘In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth Jeremiah 33:15
‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH Zechariah 3:8
Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the LORD; Zechariah 6:12 John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
5-He holds the Keys to the house of David
I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open Isaiah 22:22 “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. Revelation 3:7
6-He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek
The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” Psalm 110:4
In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” And he says in another place, “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 5:6 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? Hebrews 6:20
For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared:
“You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:15
7-In Bethlehem, a Ruler shall come forth who will shepherd my people Israel
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.” Micah 5:2 “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.Matthew 2:6
So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” Luke 2:15
8-And Darkness fell on the land at noon:
Amos 8:9 “In that day,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. Matthew 27:45 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. Mark 15:33 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoonLuke 23:44
9-“Passion for your house has consumed me”
Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me When I weep and fast, they scoff at me. When I dress in burlap to show sorrow, they make fun of me. I am the favorite topic of town gossip, and all the drunks sing about me. Psalm 69:9
In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; he also saw dealers at tables exchanging foreign money. Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables. Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, “Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!” Then his disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: “Passion for God’s house will consume me.”John 2:17
10-He was pierced for our transgressions
They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died. The sorrow and mourning in Jerusalem on that day will be like the great mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo. Zechariah 12:10
The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
Isaiah 53 Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm? My servant grew up in the LORD’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned,he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the LORD’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. Matthew 27:35 Then the soldiers nailed him to the cross. They divided his clothes and threw dice to decide who would get each piece. Mark 15:24 It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. Hebrews 6:6 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.Colossians 2:14 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death Ephesians 2:16. But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Galatians 3:13
Revelation 1:7 Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead, so they didn’t break his legs. One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out. These things happened in fulfillment of the Scriptures that say, “Not one of his bones will be broken,” and “They will look on the one they piercedJohn 19:33-36
11-They divided his clothes and threw dice
They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.Psalm 22:18 Then the soldiers nailed him to the cross. They divided his clothes and threw dice to decide who would get each piece. Mark 15:24 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. Luke 23:34 So they said, “Rather than tearing it apart, let’s throw dice for it.” This fulfilled the Scripture that says, “They divided my garments among themselves and threw dice for my clothing.” So that is what they did. John 19:24
Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.” I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Psalm 40
It was early in the morning as I was waking up and before me, in a vision, I could see the hearts and the fire of the Holy Spirit within people. I could see their hearts, what was in their heart and how it flowed into different parts of their life. I also saw and understood the flame within the believers, the fire of the Holy Spirit. (This is the second part of an earlier post)
What I understood: 1-We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.2- Stand strong in your trials, they make you stronger and build your endurance.
The first person I saw had a small thin tall flame. Talking to this person, you would believe she was a strong believer, involved in church, a Christian all her life and even led groups. I could see her complaining about situations at work and discussing the rude people she had run into that day as she worked, but in the spiritual world I could see invisible demonic beings blowing out this flame with every trouble that came her way. Every trouble or trial that came her way- was actually a demonic force with the full intention of putting out this flame within her heart. I could see the flame disappear as trials came, her crying and upset, maybe over a struggle at work or with a friend- the evil forces tried to discourage her and keep her from remembering God’s promises, but she would renew herself in the Lord and that flame that had gone out, soon came back up again. And so this happened often, her not realizing who she was really battling.
The next person I saw was a Christian man, loved the Lord, went to church, grew up in the church, went to school in the church, didn’t know much of the bible, but thought he was doing his best. Within his heart were tiny flickers of light, like when you are trying to start a fire- tiny sparks. They would go out and then try to come back out again. The struggles of this world and the desire for worldly things was trying to extinguish the sparks. There was room for a great flame but only tiny flickering sparks were there. This parable of the farmer and the seeds in the post spiritual fire explains this clearly.
The next person I saw had a huge flame in her heart. It was the result of trusting God through all her trials, troubles and storms (Romans 5:3-4, James 1, Jeremiah 17:7-8) (Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. ) This didn’t mean the attacks didn’t still come- they did. She also had many annoying trials still in life, yet she clung to the Lord. Her flame didn’t mean she didn’t have problems, it just meant that she no longer let annoyances bother her as much as they did. She was stronger now. ( Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance) So in the spiritual world I could see the trials she had as a quick blow or wind to try to get her fire out, but the fire was too large. It was like trying to blow out a campfire, but the trials never stopped, they went on and on. More detail on this in post on Fire of the Holy spirit and Spiritual Warfare
The last person I saw was a man- Christian, weekly church attendee, grew up in church, but went his own way each week after Sunday. His heart was the deepest darkest loneliest blackness, like a deep unending pit. Terrifying. His sins had opened doors for demonic strongholds to take over him, choke out the word of God so it wouldn’t enter his heart, and also control parts of his life. For more detail on what I saw, see spiritual strongholds.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions
with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people Eph 6
Now within all this I saw a spiritual heart within us all. There are outflows out of our heart. What ever we say, do, hear, think goes into our heart- It is just as Jesus said, it is a wellspring within us. Like Solomon said, we need to be very careful what we put in our heart, because it affects every part of our life.
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
Out of the heart I saw 6 outflows into different areas of our life: there may be more, but this is what I saw, and this is what I wrote down as soon as I saw it
The outflows of the heart I saw: 1-Happiness
2- Different ventures
6-Looking for God
On the heart of the person I had described above, written on each of the outflows of the heart was the word “stronghold” written in black. Underneath this word was a pair of demonic hands stopping the outflow of the heart– the outflows weresupposed to connect him to the Lord, and the ultimate goal of the demonic stronghold was to break this outflow- like breaking a vine – so this person would be cut off from God forever. I could see the Lord’s love for this person and the Lord trying to call him back. This person had addictionsthat controlled him. He wanted to be free and kept saying he could free himself, but he was no match for the legions and legions of demons behind him. As soon as he would break free from a stronghold, another demon would grab hold of him. I saw two demonic hands wrapped around his neck choking out the word of God. I saw the demons laugh and laugh when this man thought to himself “I can free myself”. I knew they wanted him to think that, that way they knew, he’d never be freed. I understood that this was happening as Jesus described – when a man is cleaned and then goes back to his sin, many legions come back – and this is what I saw. They had too much control and no man can fight this alone without the power of the Holy Spirit , the name of Jesus, and the Almighty Father.
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:43-45
The the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”Gen 4: 6-8 ” For you are a slave to whatever controls you. 20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.” 2 Peter
He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Titus 2:11
You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. Colossians 2:20
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another. Galations 5: 16
Hear me, LORD, my plea is just;
listen to my cry.
Hear my prayer—
it does not rise from deceitful lips.
Let my vindication come from you;
may your eyes see what is right.
Though you probe my heart,
though you examine me at night and test me,
you will find that I have planned no evil;
my mouth has not transgressed.
Though people tried to bribe me,
I have kept myself from the ways of the violent
through what your lips have commanded.
My steps have held to your paths;
my feet have not stumbled.
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
Show me the wonders of your great love,
you who save by your right hand
those who take refuge in you from their foes.
Keep me as the apple of your eye;
hide me in the shadow of your wings
from the wicked who are out to destroy me,
from my mortal enemies who surround me.|
They close up their callous hearts,
and their mouths speak with arrogance.
They have tracked me down, they now surround me,
with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
They are like a lion hungry for prey,
like a fierce lion crouching in cover.
Rise up, LORD, confront them, bring them down;
with your sword rescue me from the wicked.
By your hand save me from such people, LORD,
from those of this world whose reward is in this life.
May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies;
may their children gorge themselves on it,
and may there be leftovers for their little ones.
As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face;
when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing
Psalm 17 Psalm of David
